Shyam continues to impress me with his music talent! he composed yet another fantastic romantic tune! The moment I heared the tune, I said

“surkh hai, surmayi si yeh shaam hai
saansoan mein, tera hi tera naam hai”

Awaiting Shyam to finish its arrangement and vocal recording. Keeping my fingers crossed for now!

Online collaboration continued to happen! Fazal from US contacted me for penning couple of songs for him and one of them happened to be “Rubaru”. This song is a lounge kinda song with exceptionally well rendered vocals by Sangeeta Khanna!

My very good old friend Das (Whom I fondly call dada), approached me to pen lyrics for a song for his upcoming film. (Name Yet to be finalized). This song is filmed both in telugu as well as Hindi.

Lyrics goes something like

tanhayiyon mein tanha, tanha mere sang
teri yaad hai, bus teri yaad hai

Awaiting its release.

So again in 2009 Tempostand, came up with “Maa Tujhe Salaam” competition. This time too I sent them the track! but I am kinda surprised! it never appeared in their website. Though they sent me an official confirmation that they have received the track!

Write-up:
Its being 62 years that we are calling ourselves “Independent & Free”. But in reality did we achieve our freedom?

Examples like Kargil War, 26/11 still shows marks of fear, pain and tyranny. But now is the time when we need to take oath that we will not remain silent. Words which Pt Nehru gave regarding awakening of a free country, needs to be re-iterated. We need to pledge again. We need to make ourselves free again.. “Waqt Aa Gaya Hai” is a reminder to our country.

Tempostand team came up with a nice concept of people sending in their entries to showcase their love towards their mother nation. That is where I turned into a composer cum lyricist and collaborated with Vijay Krishna Mysore (Who later on turned out to be my partner in FAME Productions)

My Song finally got selected!!! It was selected by non other than Palash Sen.
